Learning through play,
the musical way

At the heart of our planning is the joy of movement, which will support both physical and emotional wellbeing. Linking to the wider curriculum our songs and activities support both body and brain development.

Building literacy skills as children read and sing-a-long, focused listening as they wait to echo sing (yellow text on video), growing in confidence with their social skills and learning to use motion.

We hope you and your children enjoy these resources, we will be sure to let you know when more become available.

Kim Pott

Hi, I’m Kim Pott MA, BSc CertEd

It is my privilege and joy to be the Founder & Director of UK based Funky Feet Music and Kimble's Music & Movement.

Over the last 16 years, I have shaped my practice to support young children in both body and brain development using music. Creating award-winning music and teacher guides that are easily implemented using multi-sensory resources that encourage meaningful movement and short, simple repeated phrases to support language.

My expertise in this field has been built from research for my Master's degree, The Institute for Neuro Physiological Psychology (INPP) but mostly from my reflection on teaching/facilitating 1000's of children and practitioners in a variety of community classes and within schools and nurseries.

Through Funky Feet workshops, I provide educators with the tools and knowledge to support their children in developing skills that help them to reach their full potential. I believe that we as educators need to provide more opportunities for children to move, and through music and play, this will enhance and expand children's enjoyment of the world around them.

Using our own original music which is made up of catchy melodies, simple repeated phrases to support language development and echo songs with actions allows both adults and children to learn very quickly. Our songs and activities cover all the bases for EYFS/KS1.

Each age-appropriate activity is carefully chosen to support children learning to control the movement of body parts and encourage midline crossing, building the brain as well as stimulating the vestibular and proprioceptive sense.

As an international trainer, Funky Feet Music share knowledge and skills with educators of young children through workshops that can be tailored to suit our customers' needs.
