Overview

Welcome to the Activity Boosters Programme

Why Activity Boosters?

We all need to increase our levels of physical activity throughout the day.

The Activity Boosters programme features lots of fun songs to inspire, engage and encourage the children aged 3 to 7 years to 'learn to move' and 'move to learn'. Both in the classroom and in a larger space.

The Resources

Within the following pages you will find a vast array of songs which have been carefully arranged by popular curriculum topics to help you support the young children in your care to increase their levels of activity throughout the day in fun, creative and engaging ways.

For each song there are videos to help you learn the actions to the songs as well as sing through videos which you can use with the children as you learn together.
There are also detailed notes of the song lyrics, suggested actions, links to the National Curriculum, opportunities for observation and extension activities to enhance the learning experience.
Song words are also included in all videos to support literacy too.

Planning --> Success Measures

This Programme supports planning, observation and gives suggested outcomes.

Intent - the skills which will be learnt during each song
Implement - practicing those skills along with the videos
Impact - through observing the children as they participate

Sample Videos from the programme

Pop Like Popcorn is from the Days Out Theme and encourages contrasting movements from small rolling corn kernels to jumping and popping pocorn.
